Long day for the girls at SW Schools. Tough first game vs SMC with the ball going from end to end. Some good saves from the SMC GK meant they came out just on top. We had a w/o over Phoenix, so a long break before playing Godolphin Bs. They were a strong team with hard drivers, although our defence coped well and held them out for a good amount of time. We came up against Westonbirt in the crossover game, but didn't quite manage to convert opportunities. This meant we went into the plate competition, with a strong first game against St George's Ascot. Defence made several fantastic turnovers and transitioned down the pitch well to attack, with a variety of goal scorers. Our plate semi was a well contested game against CLC. 3-1 up at HT, CLC fought back hard in the second half. We must work on holding possession when up on goals ahead of National Schools in only a week!
