As Downe House beat St Pauls 9-1, we knew we were up for a tougher challenge but from the first whistle it was clear we were up to it! We scored in the first 20 seconds with a fantastic 1-2-1 between Kitty M and Molly D. Clearly disgruntled Downe House stepped up and tried to drive hard to goal. What followed was a huge 5 minute 'coming of age' performance by our defence, containing incessant pressure from the DH attack while remaining disciplined, skilful and united as a unit to keep them out. The game then proceeded back and forth with the score level throughout and although we had chances to win it, there were some moments where we could have conceded and the match finished with a honourable draw, 3-3.
