The first away fixture started with a 20 minute match at St Swithuns against their C team on a beautiful sunny September afternoon.

Marlborough started off strong with the first goal of the game coming from Ottilie and a brilliant save using her thigh from Alexis in goal. There were some lovely drives towards goal resulting in goals from Amelie, Daisy and two from Eliza. Chloe N showed great awareness of space, cutting in to the area beside the goal to help Alexis on the goalie clears. Mira got involved with midfield defence, using her voice to supplement momentum. Rosie also carried the ball brilliantly in the midfield receiving from Amelie’s draws. St Swithuns managed to get one goal but it could’ve been more had Alexis not made a brilliant save off a free position. Down in defence, the idea of sliding to the most threatening players is developing, with Siyona almost getting an interception!

Some fantastic teamwork and excitement for the game shown here, resulting in a fantastic 5-1 win.
