A positive game against Godstowe U13As who started off strong with some strong drives towards goal. The Marlborough defence did well to combat this and worked well in transitions up the pitch towards the attack. Highlights include some great movement of the ball in attack and some powerful drives to goal. Mira and Freya held the defence up strongly, as well as some great transitions in the midfield from Chloe and Grace. Ottilie put some wonderful defensive pressure on the Godstowe players from their Goalie clear. It was 3-2 at half time and all still to play for but Marlborough settled in to their play in the second half, making more effective passes and achieving one more goal to finish the match.
