This was a great first match for the majority of the team. All players fought hard to ensure we won just as much possession, but we just lacked relative experience and consistency of skill to convert into goals but this will come. The defence improved with every minute, picking up the driving Calne players and forcing the pass and often the error and turnover. Irene, Chloe and Tali doing a brilliant job to contain their fast breaks with Issy Baldock bravely making some fantastic saves in goal. Grace, Honor and the two Lilly's worked hard in the midfield, looking strong on the ball. We had our chances in front of goal, and with a little more practice it won't be long before our shots will be better placed and on target. We can look forward to next term with confidence.
